This issue of Akademie Aktuell focuses on education. Education is regarded as the central resource of the 21st century and is of enormous economic and social importance. At the same time, the school system of liberal democracies is exposed to many challenges, such as digitalization and an increasingly pluralistic society. What questions do we need to ask and what should the school of the future teach?
